Perhaps you need to lighten up and accept what was intended as a joke as a joke. Life's too short to get so uptight.

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of jokes around here lately.

All self-deprecating, have a dig at ourselves, make us the brunt jokes, all at the expense of our fans, our players, our manager, all in the name of message board humour.

It shows that we've got all the self-esteem of a clinically depressed lemming, and personally I'm bored of it.

So rather than face the adversity by ripping ourselves apart with a smile, how about we knock it off for a while and expend that energy in something worthwhile, rather than doing ourselves down. Again.

The famous Brummie ability to laugh at ourselves doesn't actually impress anyone, least of all ourselves.

Perhaps some of them mistakenly thought they were buying tickets for the Olympics.

Perhaps all of them feel that supporting Blues means going to the game and cheering the team on regardless, and not posting smart alec, self-denegrating comments on a message board.

Perhaps.

'self denegrating'? Explain, please.

Sorry, typo.

Meant self deprecating.

Who on earth is laughing?

All this negativity, all this self-deprecating is not true. It is the complete and utter frustration of the club having McLeish boring us to oblivion and compounded now by the fact that he has relegated us for the second time in three years.

We would be in a far happier and certainly optimistic mood if the twice-failed boring one had gone. But no, he has the Board over a barrel with his 4 remaining years which they cannot compensate.

Do you just latch on to any thread and stick a dig in at the club, McLeish and anyone else that's raised your ire purely for the hell of it?

I'm not talking about people critising the club, I'm talking about people making jokey comments about the club that are wholly at our own expense, justified or not.

The occasional self-deprecating approach to humour is fun, necessary even. As someone who uses self-deprecating humour on myself, I understand this perfectly.

But the constant joke, joke, joke. Aren't we rubbish. Aren't we useless. Gawd, we couldn't score in a brothel. Its amazing the players managed to stay on their feet at all. They'll be paying us to come to the ground next. Its amazing we're in Europe in peacetime, presents no benefit whatsoever, and does a nice job of keeping us down, keeping us negative and keeping us always, always, always assuming the worst about ourselves.

I'm bored of it.

Well I've renewed again.... Thats 18 years on the trot ......

I can't believe they have kept Mcleish but I am blue through and through so I will continue to back my club.......

I wonder what all the Mcleish haters will be saying (myself included)come end of next season if we are promoted as champions.......

I have not got a season ticket but don't worry I still go to games just can't afford every single one, being a student and labourer doesn't bring great amounts of money in. I will be there though blues is my club and I will be there whatever the league. :kro:

I would've sacked the clueless, tactically naive, defensive old dinosaur at the drop of a hat (and still would, and would within 2 months if we're not in the play-offs) but I renewed last week.

I renewed despite the manager, he's not gonna force me out, I've bought a new blanket and some match sticks to keep my eyes open for another season of Eckball but I'll be there! and I'll be there long after he's gone as well !

:kro: (despite Eck)

Haha eckball... Quality .. Well actually it isn't haha ;)

Drove up from Oxfordshire today (£25 petrol round trip, retired so not made of money!) and renewed despite walking out after the Wolves match saying "never, never again".
Why? Because I support BCFC, don't necessarilly support the manager, the board or some of the players. I support my Club.
Stupid? Yes, probably.
A true supporter? I think so.

Just renewed - price fair value, and think team need to bounce back up quickly and plenty of renewals may encourage board to get a few more players in

If nothing else - want to guarantee my seat for Europe!

Right now to get some tickets for the cricket. Come on the Warwickshire.............
